If your car has automatic transmission, this care is very important. Avoid a huge loss!

With the increase in traffic in major world capitals and the technical evolution of transmissions, automated teller machines have gained a lot of space in consumer preference, especially in the range above R $ 60 thousand, in which the clutch pedal and lever are restricted to models almost entirely. Find more here: too much transmission fluid causes

Many drivers have purchased their first car with automatic transmission and enjoy much more peaceful and comfortable driving, and they love it. On the other hand, they are unaware of a fundamental care to keep it functioning properly.

The owner of a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission must:

Naturally, the time for changing the fluid varies depending on the model, and the owner should consult the vehicle's manual or consult the manufacturer's technical assistance. On average, the term varies between 60 thousand and 150 thousand kilometers, depending on the type of box, assembler and supplier.

The lack of maintenance of the automatic transmission can cause great losses, since the specialized workshops charge from R $ 2,000 to R $ 5,000 just to open and examine the box, plus the price of the parts and labor of the repair.

Pay attention to the color of the automatic transmission fluid. If it's dark, you're in trouble!

To extend the life of your automatic transmission, stay tuned to the items below:

1 - THE BIGGEST ENEMY OF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS  OVERHEATING .

2 -Keep the MOTOR oil and coolant always up to date, as they also serve to cool the transmission.

3 - As with vehicles with manual transmission, avoid holding it with the accelerator uphill. An automatic gearbox also has clutches, which wear out when using such a practice. Apply the parking brake and start slowly.

4 - Respect the load and passenger limit of your vehicle. Excess weight can cause severe damage to the automatic transmission.

5 - When parking the vehicle, first place the lever in the “N” (neutral) position, pull the parking brake and then place it in the “P” (park) gear. Putting the vehicle's weight on the “P” gear can damage it, causing the need for a repair costing around five digits.

6 - There is no need to change the lever from position “D” (drive) to “N” (neutral) at each traffic light stop. This practice causes premature wear on the system, in addition to being unnecessary, as the most modern boxes do this automatically.

7 - When shifting from “D” (drive) ”to“ R ”(reverse), or from“ R ”to“ D ”, stop the vehicle completely. Shifting gears while the vehicle is in motion can damage the assembly.

8 - As with manual boxes, never lower the saw when it is disengaged (“N” position) or “D”, as this practice causes overheating due to the lack of adequate lubrication in these conditions.
